What I like about being a woman: You can get away with stuff just because you're a girl - people, particularly older males, underestimate your intelligence and it's something you can play with. And while I HATE stereotypes, sometimes people deserve to be messed with...

What I hate about it: The derogatory stereotyping that pervades our language about femaleness ALL THE TIME - like "crying like a girl" "stop being a girl" "he's such a girl" and it's always and insult, and a socially acceptable insult. Shits me to tears that there are so many brave and stoic and great girls out there, but if you stuff up, you're behaving "like a girl"... and if you protest, people act like you're just being annoying. grrr.
